EML Scanner ("the Service", "we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in connection with your use of the Service.

How the Service Works

EML Scanner is a web-based email analysis service. When you forward an email to scan@emlscanner.com, our system analyzes it and returns a threat report to your inbox. The email you forward is processed on our servers to generate your report and is discarded immediately afterward. It is never stored, indexed, or used for any other purpose.

What We Do Not Do With Your Emails

• We do not store the emails you forward to us
• We do not read your emails beyond what is required to generate your report
• We do not use your emails to train or improve our AI models
• We do not sell your email contents or share them for advertising or commercial purposes

Third Party Services That Process Your Email

To deliver the Service, the content of emails you forward passes through the following third party infrastructure:

• Cloudflare Email Routing, used to receive and route your forwarded email to our processing system. Email contents pass through Cloudflare's network in transit
• Cloudflare Workers AI, our AI provider which analyzes the email content to generate your threat report. Content is sent to their inference infrastructure and is subject to Cloudflare's data processing terms
• Dodo Payments, which processes your payment when you purchase a plan. They handle payment data only, not email contents

Data We Collect

The only personal data we collect is:

• Your email address, used to identify your plan, enforce usage limits, and send your report back to you
• Usage data: the number of scans you have made, used solely to enforce plan limits
• Payment information processed securely via Dodo Payments when you purchase a plan. We do not store payment card details

Use of Data

We use your personal data to:

• Deliver your threat report
• Enforce your plan scan limits
• Process and manage your subscription
• Communicate important updates related to your account

Data Sharing

Your email contents pass through the following third-party infrastructure as part of delivering the Service:

• Cloudflare, used for routing and infrastructure. Email contents may pass through Cloudflare's network in transit
• AI model provider: the content of your forwarded email is sent to our AI provider to generate your threat report
• Dodo Payments, which processes your payment when you purchase a plan. They handle payment data only, not email contents

Beyond the above, we do not sell or share your email contents or personal data with any other third party, except when required by law.

Data Retention

Forwarded emails are discarded immediately after your report is generated. Your email address and usage data are retained for as long as your account is active or as required to comply with legal obligations. Once no longer required, your data is securely deleted.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@emlscanner.com.

Legal Basis

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is contractual necessity to deliver the Service and our legitimate interests to ensure fair usage of plan limits.

Minors

The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
